Candidates for this role will have a strong background in pricing and Reimbursement withing the Pharma. Experience of cross functional work within a multinational company will be highly desirable.

Main Purpose of this role:

    Supports the company’s pricing and reimbursement strategy with special focus on launching new drugs.
    Aids coordination and supervision of health economics studies that are useful for negotiating pricing and reimbursement, as well as for market access purposes.
    Ensures that the price and reimbursement situation is in compliance with health regulations and company strategy.

Operational Pricing:

    Collaborates in the development of international price strategies, as well as in projects and value documents generated by Corporate, providing the Iberia market perspective
    Analyse P&R status for the main Takeda competitors or price comparators
    Generate and maintain a repository of all the key P&R evidence submitted to Health Authorities
    Updates information on pharmacotherapeutic guidelines and drug prescription to support pricing strategy
    Provides P&R insights for MRP development, including price erosion impact
    Takes care of all price monitor – related activities, e.g., tracking of all prices of Takeda in Iberia, selected competitors prices for consideration in developing product
    Tracks legislation impact on Takeda price developments monthly (incl. rare disease legislation)
    Provides tools to reveal net price for products / gap on hospital level
    Checks the product portfolio in relation to market practices for the proposed measures to optimize product profitability and for proposed price change measures that optimize product cost-effectiveness
    Collaborates with global Pricing (PMA) for the analysis and assessment of scenarios for new products locally
    Tracks competitive pricing landscape, including latest strategies and techniques

    Market Research:
    Obtains strong understanding of relevant TAs, their disease mgmt and the current position of our product within the TA
    Understands government priorities which have the potential to impact market access
    Monitors and anticipates HC trends and changes
    Analyses the market, competitors plans, messages (differentiate our product from competitors), prices and access

     Effective team and cross functional working internally and externally:
    Develops effective and constructive working relationships throughout the Market Access Team and Takeda LOC in general and with the Medical and Marketing teams in particular
    Proactively identifies & develops long-term peer-to-peer relationships with opinion leaders & other relevant stakeholders
    Organizes and attends meetings with key stakeholder groups
    Achieves best-in-class customer focus with dedicated time for and regular interactions with customers
    Build relationships with key national pricing bodies together with MA Manager, MA Head and Medical Affairs department

    Other accountabilities:
    Identifies and undertakes specific projects when required in order to drive Market Access / Health Economics forward
    Promotes and conducts the affairs of the company with the highest standards of integrity, probity and corporate governance.
    Act according to Corporate, Compliance, Ethical codes and Legal standards
    Communicate to pharmacovigilance department any adverse reaction at the time of becoming aware of it, following company’s internal procedures.


    University Degree preferably Pharmaceutical Sciences
    Master in Health Sciences as a plus


    Previous experience of 3 years in Price and Reimbursement


    High level of spoken and listening English; ability to participate to international meeting and give presentations
    Takeda leadership competencies according to the position


    Knowledge of NHS, its structure on a central level
    Knowledge of main regional autonomous community stakeholders
    Knowledge of distribution channels of pharmaceutical products
    Knowledge and proficiency of tools to analyse health economics models
    Knowledge of internal pharmacovigilance policy
